Creating a Catholic Garden begins with planning which plants and flowers you will plant and where you will place them. Begin your research at:
Mary Gardens for hundreds of ideas for
flowers named in medieval times as symbols of the
life, mysteries and privileges of the Blessed Virgin
Mary, Mother of Jesus - as recorded by botanists, folklorists and lexicographers.
Once you have your garden planted, add decorating accents, and create little areas where you and your family can go to refresh your spirit, or contemplate God's presence in all life around us. You can also create private outdoor garden areas where you can go during pleasant weather to pray your Rosary, or to pray the Divine Office.
Don't forget to invite our feathered friends by including birdhouses, feeders and bird bathes!
