Pray with your heart!

THE HAIL MARY

Hail Mary,
full of grace,
the Lord is with you.
Blessed are you among women
and blessed is the fruit of your womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.

THE OUR FATHER

Our Father,
who art in heaven,
hallowed be Thy Name;
Thy kingdom come;
Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into tempation,
but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

THE GLORY BE

Glory be to the Father,
and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning,
as now,
and ever shall be,
world without end.
Amen.

PRAYER BEFORE A CRUCIFIX

Look down upon me, good and gentle Jesus,
while before your face I humbly kneel,
and with burning soul
pray and beseech you to fix deep in my heart
lively sentiments of faith, hope and charity,
true contrition for my sins,
and a firm purpose of amendment
while I contemplate with deep love and tender pity
your five wounds, pondering over them within me,
calling to mind the words which David,
your prophet, said of you, my good Jesus:
"They have pierced my hands and my feet;
they  have numbered all my bones."
Ps.  22:17-18

ACT OF CONTRITION

O My God,
I  repent  with  my  whole  heart  of  all  my
sins,  and  I  detest  them,   because  I  have
deserved the loss of heaven and the pains of
hell, but most of all, because I have offended
you,   infinite   goodness.    I  firmly   resolve
with  the  help  of  your  grace,  which  I  pray
you  grant  me now and always,   to  confess
my  sins,  to do  penance  and  rather  to  die
than  offend  you  again.       Amen.

DAILY PRAYER

TO BE A DISCIPLE OF JESUS CHRIST

"He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire."

Lord God, you who provide the fire
for a transformed life,

I come before you this day
and beg for the fire of your love and mercy
to forgive my sins and free me
from my self-imposed bondages.

I pray for the fire of your Spirit to lead me
in repentance and conversion
so I may be faithful in following you.

I pray for the fire of your love
to ignite my heart with love for my
brothers and sisters
and lead me to intercede in faith for them.

I pray for the fire of faith
to be committed to you and your teaching
as a servant to His Master.

I pray for the fire of your desire to save all mankind
to inflame me so that I can witness to the
Good News of Jesus Christ
and be a channel for the salvation of mankind.

Lord, I want to burn for you before all peoples.  Amen.

PRAYER OF ST. FRANCIS OF ASSISI

LORD,
Make me an instrument of your PEACE.
Where there is hatred, let me sow LOVE.
Where there is injury, PARDON.
Where ther is doubt, FAITH.
Where ther is despair, HOPE.
Where ther is darkness, LIGHT.
And where there is sadness,  JOY.

O DIVINE MASTER,
Grant that I may not so much seek
To be consoled, as to CONSOLE.
To be understood, as to UNDERSTAND.
To be loved as to LOVE.

FOR it is in GIVING that we receive,
It is in PARDONING
That we are pardoned
And it is in dying
That we are born to ETERNAL LIFE.

PRAYER FOR THE DECEASED

God, our Father, with unqualified confidence
in your mercy and love for all people, I offer
you this prayer today for all those who have
died, for those who have gone before us
marked with the sign of  faith, for those who
have left this world in your friendship and for
those whose faith is known to you alone.
Through the merits of the passion and death
of Jesus Christ, your Son, our Lord and Redeemer,
bring all the dead to that place of refreshment,
light and peace.
Freed from the concerns of this world, may they
live forever in happiness in your presence and
in the company of  the Saints.

I pray today, in particular, for
(here mention the daily intention).
May they experience and share with all the
faithful departed that peace which Jesus
lived and died to gain for one and all.
Grant them eternal rest, Father, and may
perpetual light shine upon them.  Through
your mercy, may their souls and the souls
of all our beloved dead rest in that
peace without end.  Amen.

THE APOSTLE'S CREED

I believe in God,
the Father Almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth;
and in Jesus Christ, His only son, our Lord;
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended into hell,
the third day He arose again from the dead;
He ascended into heaven,
sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy spirit,
the holy Catholic Church,
the Communion of Saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting.
Amen.

THANKSGIVING AFTER HOLY COMMUNION
(Prayer of St. Thomas Aquinas)

I thank You, O holy Lord, almighty Father,
eternal God, who have deigned, not through any
merits of mine, but out of the condescension of
Your goodness, to satisfy me a sinner, Your un-
worthy servant, with the precious Body and Blood
of Your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.  I pray that
this Holy Communion be not a condemnation to
punishment for me, but a saving plea to forgive-
ness.  May it be to me the armor of faith and the
shield of a good will.  May it be thte emptying out
of my vices and the extinction of all lustful
desires;  an increase of charity and patience, of
humility and obedience, and all virtues;  a strong
defense against the snares of all my enemies,
visible and invisible;  the perfect quieting of all
my evil impulses of flesh and spirit, binding me
firmly to You, the one true God;  and a happy
ending of my life.  I pray too that You will deign
to bring me, a sinner, to that ineffable banquet
where You with Your Son and the Holy Spirit, are
to Your Saints true light, fulfillment of desires,
eternal joy, unalloyed gladness, and perfect bliss.
Through the same Christ our Lord.  Amen.

ACT OF FAITH

O my God, I firmly believe that you are
one God in three divine persons,
Father, Son and Holy Spirit;
I believe that your Divine Son became man
and died for our sins and that He will come
to judge the living and the dead.
I believe these and all the truths
which the holy, Catholic Church teaches
because you revealed them
who can neither deceive nor be deceived.

ACT OF HOPE

O my God, relying on your infinite
goodness and promises,
I hope to obtain pardon of my sins,
the help of your grace and life everlasting
through the merits of Jesus Christ,
my Lord and Redeemer.

ACT OF LOVE

O my God, I love you above all things
with my whole heart and soul
because you are all good
and worthy of all love.
I love my neighbor as myself
for the love of you.
I forgive all who have injured me
and I ask pardon of all whom I have injured.

MY DAILY OFFERING

O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of
Mary, I offer You my prayers, works, joys
and sufferings of this day in union with the
Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the
world.  I offer them for all the intentions of
Your Sacred Heart:  the salvation of souls,
reparation for sin, the union of all Christians.
I offer them for the intentions of our Bishops
and of all Apostles of Prayer, and in particular
for those recommended by our Holy Father
this month.       Amen.

THE CHILDREN'S PRAYER

O Jesus,
Who has so loved us, Your children,
and Who wants us close beside You,
pardon and save the world for us,
through us, Your children.
As You did in Palestine,
You will press us to Your Heart;
today and always,
we want to console You with our love.
Amen.
(-from our Heavenly Mother)

GUARDIAN ANGEL PRAYER

Angel of God,
my guardian Dear,
to whom His love,
commits me here.
Ever this day,
be at my side.
To light and guard,
to rule and guide,
Amen.
